Specialized Training Workshop on "Energy Audit of buildings in the State of Kuwait." In collaboration with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research

The Research Directorate at the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences held a specialized training workshop on "energy audit of buildings in the State of Kuwait" in collaboration with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, and in coordination with the American Association of Energy Engineers – Kuwait Branch, on 9-13 April 2017. The workshop aimed to train ‘Energy Engineers’ in various State agencies on effective methods of energy audit of buildings, to qualify energy engineers and obtain the “Certified Energy Auditor” Diploma. Engineers wishing to pursue certification shall take a test of the American Association of Energy Engineers to be accredited. 

The workshop lasted five days, one of which was dedicated to field testing and gauging energy consumption in some floors of KFAS headquarters using traditional and up to date instruments, which will lead to enhancing the skills of the participating engineers.

Twenty seven engineers participated representing the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, the Kuwait National Guards, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, and the Ministry of Education, in addition to the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.
